It sounds like AM 940 has decided on a permanent host to take over the reigns of the morning talk show. According to the commercials I've been hearing on the radio each morning, the now infamous Chris Kroc, disrespecter of elders and thorn in Elaine Lucas' prodigious side, will bring his abrasive brand of commentary to Macon listeners in the weeks to come. As I said in my earlier post, his style understandably rubs some people the wrong way - especially the older batch of listeners - and he certainly has a knack for stirring the pot. But whether you like him or not, you have to agree that the morning show is about to become very interesting.
Unfortunately, this means the end of Erick's run on the show. His unique insight into the political world, both local and national, will be missed. I hope he'll continue to guest host from time to time.
By the way, it looks like Kroc will have some competition. Kenny Burgamy and Charles Richardson are getting back into the world of morning radio over on 100.9 FM.
